How to Enrol

Your steps to enrol with KKTC

KKTC's enrolment process is efficient, and our team supports you at every step. Domestic students can enrol at any time, with no set intakes.

  1. Check your eligibility

Use our online eligibility checker to see which funding option suits you in your state. It only takes a few minutes.

  2. Talk to our team

After you enquire, our team will contact you by phone or email to talk through the course, your workplace and your funding options.

  3. Have your USI and Working with Children Check ready

You'll need your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and your Working with Children Check (WWCC) for your enrolment application form.

  4. Fill out your enrolment application form

Complete the enrolment application form for your course, including your USI and WWCC details.

  5. Complete your LLND check or skills evaluation

If applicable, complete the language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills (LLND) check and/or a pre-enrolment skills evaluation, so we can support you from the start.

  6. Organise payment of fees

If fees apply to you, our team will help you organise payment.

  7. Confirm your workplace or traineeship

Confirm the early learning service where you'll train, or your traineeship, and complete any funding paperwork if needed.

  8. Start with your induction

Begin with your Student Introduction and the Fundamentals unit, then meet your KKTC trainer at your first workplace visit.

Questions

Enrolment: frequently asked questions

When can I enrol?

Domestic students can enrol at any time. There are no set intakes, so you can start as soon as your enrolment is complete.

What do I need before I fill out my enrolment application form?

Have your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and your Working with Children Check (WWCC) ready, as you'll need both for your enrolment application form.

How do I get a USI?

You can create a Unique Student Identifier for free at usi.gov.au. It stays with you for life and records all your nationally recognised training.

Do I need to complete an LLND check?

If applicable, you'll complete a language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills (LLND) check and/or a pre-enrolment skills evaluation. It helps us make sure the course suits you and that we can support you from the start.

Do I need a job in an early learning centre?

Both courses are workplace-based, so you train in a regulated early childhood service. Our team helps you confirm your workplace or traineeship as part of your enrolment.

Will I have to pay fees?

That depends on your state and your eligibility for government-subsidised training. Use our eligibility checker to see which funding option suits you. If fees apply, our team will help you organise payment.

I'm an international student. How do I enrol?

International students study face-to-face at our Southport campus with a student visa and apply through a different process. See our International Students page.
