The Queensland Government contributes the majority of the training cost; you contribute a co-contribution fee (set out below).
Career Boost eligibility — to access funding for this qualification, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, temporary resident with appropriate visa, or asylum seeker
- be 15 years or older and no longer at school
- permanently reside in Queensland
- not already hold a Certificate IV or higher qualification completed within the last 10 years (qualifications completed at school and foundation skills qualifications do not count)
- not be enrolled in another qualification, even if on hold or deferred (foundation skills qualifications do not count)
Course entry requirement: The CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care requires you to already hold a CHC30121 or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Proof of completion is required at enrolment.
Final eligibility for Career Boost funding is determined by DTET, not by KKTC. KKTC will conduct a Pre-Enrolment Assessment (PEA) with you before enrolment to confirm eligibility and identify any learning support needs. For independent information, see the DTET Career Boost page and the Queensland Skills Gateway.
